Shark Freediving

A new category on our site; freediving spot of the week… or something like that. I thought it would be nice if we would gather some info and pictures of nice places were you can freedive.

So the first one is not near my place, but one that looks very very good! Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas. It’s the deepest blue hole in the world; 203 meters deep! Now that’s what I call a good place to freedive. It’s perfectly put away in the coastline which means no waves, currents, boats, etc. So you swim 5 meters from the shore and it’s deeeep!

It’s located in the north of long island and when you know the way around it’s a very good and accesible spot to go to. The entry of the blue hole begins at 20 meters and when you dive in and it’s a clear day it’s like diving into a massive cathedral.
