Shark Freediving

What a day, waiting and waiting for results and hearing nothing from nobody! It seems that they were teasing us. I believe immediately that it was a very good competition, but it was one of the most difficult to follow competitions ever if you were not there. Not many details coming out. Anyway, the dirty stuff will always get out!

Big winner of today is Herbert Nitsch who did a 77 meter dive an winning the gold medal in this pure freediving discipline. Second was William Winram. The other William went to the same depth of 75 meter but had a small blackout at the surface. It really seems he has competition nerves. Bronze medal is for Alexey Molchanov with his 65 meter dive. Maldame who went deeper then Alexey had a big big blackout.

With the women winner was Jarmilla Slovencikova with a depth of 50 meter. Silver medal was for Susanna Saari with a depth of 40 meters and bronze was for Anna from Germany with 38 meters. Are you missing some names and numbers? Yes indeed! Sara Campbell had a blackout, Natalia Molchanova didn’t start at all! Lotta also a blackout and Annelie turned early. Big surprise in the results here!

Complete result list is not available yet. Probably because everybody is now drunk at the closing party! So I forgive them for not coming with more details this evening. The truth will come out tomorrow, when the headache has gone away…
