Shark Freediving

Last weekend was time for the Canadian Indoor Nationals in Montreal Canada. On Saturday April 25 it was time for Static in the morning and Dynamic without fins in the afternoon in the 25 meter pool at Vieux-Montreal. On Sunday morning the competition continued with Dynamic with fins. 21 freedivers from 5 countries participated in the competition.

Jana Strain

There were 4 female freedivers competing. With static Hogue Marie-Odile won the discipline with a time of 5:15 min. She also took dynamic with fins with a distance of 119 meters.  Jana Strain took the honors by setting a new Canadian national record of 116 meters in the discipline dynamic without fins, which also gave here the womans title with 165 points.

William Winram

Of the 17 male freedivers, William Winram won the static competition with a time of 7:06 min. He also took dynamic with fins with a 201 meter dive. And to complete his fantastic competition he set a new national canadian record with a 156 meter dynamic without fins dive. With these performance he also good the overal title with a total of 263,7 points.
