    Hi

    Here I am, still kicking :) .

Thanks for all the support. I wouln’t have done it without. Jorg did a great job reporting, supporting and relaying messages. Reading through it today was very emotional for me.

Today I’m having a bit trouble sleeping. Good that I could sleep yesterday and regenerated a bit.

I’m planing to write a report about everything in the upcoming week and I will also try and answer all the questions you may have.

    Kars wanted to know:
How many KG did he loose, how many calories were burned?
I don’t know how many calories were burned, I didn’t know how to calculate them and I don’t trust the polar watches on this because they never show the same value twice :P . In 24 hours I lost aproximately 1,5kg. My weight loss was kind of this:
    - 2008 April: around 81kg and around 11% body fat, doing mostly fitness and cardio only for maintaing condition
    - 2008 august: around 76kg with 9% body fat, doing almost only cardio (swimming, cycling running) and prepairing for the IronMan
    - 2008 december: around 78 kg with 10% body fat doing mostly fitnes again
    - 2009 april: droped to 74kg with 9% BF still doing fitness, swiming, cycling running and of cours fining
    - before the atempt: 73kg with 8% BF did only freediving in the last 2 months.

I don’t know what he put in his foot pockets to protect his toes, but I like to use a plastic bag to prevent blisters and have a snug fit
I tried plastic bags but didn’t like them. They got thorn, moved around, the feeling wasn’t good. The best thing I tried and also used it on the event was a lot of Xenofit Second skin creme.

Did he experience any Co2 narcosis? – Like one has during a 16x50m race.
No CO2 narcosis. In the rest periods I actualy felt hiperventilated and a bit dizziy.

I guess he will now sleep 24 hours
Slept for 9,5 hours first day, but couldn’t sleep good the second day… Still tired today.
