Gaspare Battaglia Sets New Italian Static Record

gaspareDuring the Evolution II cup in Italy, Italian freediver Gaspare Battaglia set a new national record in the discipline static (under CMAS rules). With a 7:46 minutes breath hold it was more then enough to break his own previous record which stood at 7:23 minutes.

Other news coming from this much hyped competition is minimal. Goran Colak attempted to break the dynamic with fins world record, but yet again stranded at 225 meters, which is still a major distance but not enough to break the current 250 meter record.

There was a lot of live streaming going on, together with some commentators, which was great. But the basic thing missing were the result lists, which I still can’t find.
